DGA

 

DGA (Disc Golf Association) is one of the original pioneers of disc golf and a cornerstone of the sport’s history.
Founded in 1976 by “Steady” Ed Headrick, often called the father of modern disc golf, DGA created and trademarked the term “Disc Golf” and developed the first official rules, competition systems, and equipment for the sport. In 1977, Ed and his son Ken patented the world’s first disc golf basket, the Disc Pole Hole (US Patent #4,039,189) – an invention that caught discs from all angles and became the foundation of today’s targets.

Today, DGA remains one of the world’s most respected basket manufacturers, with their products forming the backbone of more than 15,000 disc golf courses worldwide. DGA baskets are known for their durability, precision, and timeless design – they’re the industry standard others are measured by.

DGA also produces a full line of premium golf discs in collaboration with Discraft, combining DGA’s decades of experience in course design and product development with Discraft’s cutting-edge production technology.
