Originally known as Zeus 2.0, the disc was officially renamed Ares after the test flight version generated strong interest among players at the Disc East event in 2026.
Ares is Discraft’s overstable distance driver built around the familiar feel of the Zeus, but with added stability and a more reliable finishing fade. It is especially suited for players with more power, demanding conditions, and long drives where a straight, forward-pushing flight without uncontrolled turn is desired. The Ares performs well on both powerful flat releases and flex lines when the goal is maximum distance with dependable fade.
