eTag - Smart Tag for Disc Golf

GameProofer eTag - a disc golf smart tag for net and simulator practice

GameProofer eTag is a disc golf smart tag designed and manufactured in Finland, built specifically for throwing practice into a net and for use with the Link Disc Golf Simulator. The eTag is small and light, and its sensors measure your throw with precision. Three base unit mounts are included, so you can fit them to three discs in advance and move the eTag from one disc to another in seconds, without new mounting tape.

The eTag is optimised for the Link Disc Golf Simulator, and according to the manufacturer the connection runs with no noticeable latency. A simulator licence is not included and is purchased separately. The replaceable CR1220 coin cell lasts around 1000 throws, and the tag has its own ON/OFF button. The eTag does not include a GPS sensor.

What does the eTag measure?

• Speed: the release speed of the disc.
• Spin: how fast the disc rotates (RPM).
• Wobble: how cleanly the disc leaves your hand.
• Hyzer angle: the tilt of the disc at release (hyzer, flat or anhyzer).
• Nose angle: whether the front edge of the disc points up or down at release.
• Launch angle: the upward or downward direction of the throw relative to the ground.

Measurement is lightning fast: your results appear in the GameProofer app (iOS and Android) instantly after each throw. You see right away how a change in technique affects your throw.
